5. Better reporting
It is one thing to store data in a database - but of course you need to view the data as well!
This is the task of the reporting function within a DBMS.
Consider a basic flat file - you will probably just format the worksheet itself and print that out
This is fine for simple reporting, but if more elegant reporting is needed then a DBMS offers much better results. It is also better at summarising large quantity of data.
