A web browser is a software application that provides a way to view and interact with pages on the World Wide Web.

You will be using a web browser to look at this page. Have a look at the top bar. You will see a back, forward and refresh button. You wil also see a menu which allows you to view your history and bookmarks.

Popular browser examples include Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Netscape Navigator although there are many others.
