A human machine interface (HMI) method of sending commands to the computer.
For example the menu might contain a 'Print' selector or a 'Save' selector, in fact the menu could contain anything the computer is capable of carrying out.
Menus come in many forms, depending on the operating system and the computer hardware. For example
> Command Line Interface (CLI)
> Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Command Line Interface requires the user to type in the commands
whilst a Graphical User Interface allows the user to click their mouse on an icon or graphic or some kind.
