Layout

The organisiation of certain elements within a page. The 'elements' are usually images, text and perhaps active components such as a Flash movie.

This organisation is called the 'layout'.

For example you may use a Desktop Publishing application to produce a page layout.

Or you may use a web design application to produce a web page layout.
