Knowledge is the awareness and understanding of facts or information gained through experience or learning.

To explain a little clearer:

DATA are things like numbers e.g.140570. On their own, data does not mean anything.

INFORMATION is created when DATA is provided with a context e.g "14th May 1970 is my wife's birthday".

KNOWLEDGE is being able to apply INFORMATION in order to make decisions
e.g "My wife's birthday is 14th May which is tomorrow" (INFORMATION) so I must buy a present today (Knowledge)
