Bug

A computer bug is a mistake or an error in software code. Bugs can prevent the program from working at all or possibly giving the wrong result.

All new software is tested thoroughly to try to pick up the bugs in the code and many are found and fixed. However, even with very good testing, most applications are released with some bugs which will get fixed when they are reported to the developers.
