The items in the specification above are the most basic part of any computer. So you need to be able to understand what they are in general terms.
The diagram below shows how they relate to one another to form a complete computer system.
Note that 'Communication Devices' are not part of this section of the syllabus, but suffice to say the purpose of these devices is to provide communication links to other systems or networks. For example an ADSL router, a modem or a WiFi module.
