3. Storing images

The recorded image is stored as a file within the camera, ready to be uploaded.

SD card

 

The images are stored on a memory card within the camera. Such as the one opposite, which is an SD card with a capacity of 16 GB.

A memory card also works at a certain speed, such as 30MB/s. This speed determines how many images per second it can capture and also controls the speed of uploading.

The capacity of the card determines how many pictures you can take before they need to be uploaded or erased.

There are many other different types of memory cards.
