THEORY3. Logic Input and Output
Logic statements work out to be either TRUE or FALSE and as the last page explained, this can be described in binary as 1 or 0.
The term 'work out to be' above actually means that there is a single output to the logic.
And if there is an output, there has to be one or more inputs.
You can draw this as a box with one input and an output, perhaps like this.

The input is either binary 1 or 0 and the output is either binary 1 or 0 with some logic work going on in the middle.
This kind of diagram can be called a general logic gate.
A logic gate has an input, some logic work and an output. There are a few different types of logic gate which we cover in the next few pages.
