CONTRIBUTORS Many thanks to Keith Watson from Campion School for very kindly contributing a complete SoW along with all of the accompanying resources for a Year 9 project.
This excellent project is designed to run throughout the whole of Year 9. It aims to give students continuity on a project and to get them to think about all of the different aspects which would be required in order to create a whole, comprehensive system.

SoWThis SoW outlines a complete project for Year 9. It details the different tasks which students will need to complete and indicates where resources will be required (which are provided below) |
IntroductionThis provides an overview of the problem so that students can gain an insight into what they will need to in order to complete the project. |
Website investigation report sheetStudents are asked to evaluate three websites run by theatre companies. They need to document their findings using this sheet.
EvaluationStudents need to evaluate each other's websites and also their own. This template can be used to give them the prompts which they need to be thinking about. |
Advertising for a new managerStudents are asked to design a job advertisement for a new manager for the theatre. This Publisher document provides a template to give them a starting point. |
Evaluating their advertisementStudents need to evaluate each other's job advertisments and also their own. This template can be used to give them the prompts which they need to think about. |
Mail MergeStudents will then invite a list of candidates to attend an interview. They will use a pre-prepared list of names and addresses which they can merge into a letter. |
WagesStudents need to be able to keep track of salaries being paid to staff. They are going to create their own spreadsheet. The one provided here can be used to give them an idea of how to approach this task. |
Booking FormStudents will create a system which can be used to record seat bookings in the theatre. This template can be used to provide them with an idea of how they could go about this task. |
