A note from David:
In order to explain how I have developed these mark sheets I have created a document mapping APP to the Teach-ICT units (current and former). This also shows where functional skills are covered and not covered. All of these are mapped to the National Curriculum criteria.
In order to track marking from the mark sheets I have created a tracker which also calculates the average grade and the security of that level i.e. A, B or C. In order to reduce the size of the tracker staff will need to renter marks over the top of old marks for a criterion that is covered more than once including Planning, Development and Evaluation. The idea is that students should get better at these repeated areas.

APP, Functional Skills and Teach-ICT units mapped to new curriculum |

KS3 Assessment Calculator (APP)This calculator will calculate a grade based on the units covered and give the average level. It is advisable to deliver as many units as possible in order to ensure coverage of the National Curriculum. However, it gives staff the option of spending more time on certain units e.g. File Management for less able groups and not doing other units especially where the same APP criteria is repeatedly met by one or more units. |
